Embora esta possa parecer obvia, \u00e9 importante ressalvar esta consequ\u00eancia, pois t\u00eam implica\u00e7\u00f5es importantes no que fazes e como o fazemos. A sonol\u00eancia pode levar a que a pessoa adorme\u00e7a quando est\u00e1 numa situa\u00e7\u00e3o sedent\u00e1ria, confort\u00e1vel e mon\u00f3tona, como por exemplo a conduzir. O que \u00e9 mais importante ainda quando a profiss\u00e3o da pessoa implica conduzir, como \u00e9 o caso dos motoristas.<\/p>\n<p>\u00c9 um facto de que as pessoas n\u00e3o s\u00e3o boas a avaliar o qu\u00e3o sonolentas est\u00e3o, simultaneamente podem n\u00e3o dar aten\u00e7\u00e3o aos alertas do pr\u00f3prio corpo de que est\u00e3o prestes a adormecer. Com o continuar da priva\u00e7\u00e3o de sono, continua a aumentar e a acumular a divida de sono, que por sua vez aumenta a probabilidade de adormecer, num momento potencialmente inoportuno ou perigoso.<\/p>\n<p>Podem tamb\u00e9m ocorrer <strong>micro sonos<\/strong> que s\u00e3o involunt\u00e1rios. Durante um micro sono a pessoa est\u00e1 acordada, com os olhos abertos, contudo n\u00e3o responde aos est\u00edmulos, embora esteja a contar responder. Os estudos indicam, que durante o micro sono, o c\u00e9rebro apresente padr\u00f5es semelhantes aos padr\u00f5es durante o sono, embora a pessoa esteja
